“Ma’am,” he continued, his voice trembling with a mix of regret and fear, “there’s been… a terrible mistake. On behalf of the airport and the airline, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and your son.”

I looked at him, maintaining my composure. “I understand the complexities of airport operations,” I replied, my voice steady but firm. “But using one’s power to bully passengers is inexcusable. I hope this serves as a reminder.”

The director nodded repeatedly, a picture of contrition. “Absolutely, Ms. Vance. We will investigate this incident thoroughly. Please, allow us to make it right. We can ensure you and your son are on the next flight out.”
