Eight children have been killed in what authorities are calling the deadliest mass shooting in the United States in more than two years. New disturbing details are now emerging.
The violence unfolded early Sunday morning in Shreveport, Louisiana, after 31-year-old Shamar Elkins reportedly got into an argument with his wife before going on a shooting rampage across multiple homes. According to police, at least 10 people were shot in what has been described as a domestic violence incident.
“This is a tragic situation, maybe the worst tragic situation we’ve ever had in Shreveport,” Mayor Tom Arceneaux said in a news conference, according to CNN.
