When you’re busy working, in a meeting, or on an important call, you may experience an unexpected ringing phone. To quickly silence the ringtone without rejecting the call, simply press the volume down button. You can also use this button to mute alarms or other notifications; a quick press will stop the sound without disrupting your activities.

5. Turn Off the Flashlight

The flashlight function on your phone is very handy for low-light situations. Instead of unlocking your phone and sliding to control the flashlight, you can quickly turn it off by pressing the volume down button twice.

6. Adjust Phone Volume

Rather than navigating through the sound settings, you can quickly adjust your phone’s ringtone volume by unlocking your phone and pressing the volume up or down button.
