Shooter’s disturbing letter to his family before the Trump assassination attempt
Now, new horrifying details about the suspected gunman have come to light. Per NBC News, shortly before the attack, Cole Tomas Allen sent his family a note where he apologized to both his parents, colleagues, as well as students and bystanders for the crimes he was about to commit.
Moreover, according to a transcript of Allen’s writing, received by NBC News from a senior administration official, the suspect stated, “I don’t expect forgiveness. Again, my sincere apologies.”
When the suspect’s brother received the note, he immediately contacted the New London Police Department in Connecticut, the senior administration official told NBC.
Also, following the shooting, Cole Tomas Allen’s sister told the Secret Service and Montgomery County Police that her brother had a tendency to make radical statements. He had previously referred to a plan to do “something” to fix what he believed was wrong in today’s world.
