Comfort and temperature play an important role in where pets choose to rest. Dogs and cats generally have slightly higher body temperatures than humans, so they instinctively look for places that help them maintain a comfortable balance.
Soft blankets, warm cushions, or sunny patches of light can make ideal resting places during cooler times, while cooler surfaces such as tile floors may feel better during warmer weather.
