Actor Terry Crews’ wife, Rebecca King-Crews, has shared the heartbreaking news that she’s been battling Parkinson’s disease for nine years. However, at first, her early symptoms were dismissed as anxiety. Now, she wants to spread awareness.

Fans were left shocked after Terry Crews and his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, shared some deeply personal news. Speaking on the Today show, she revealed she has been quietly battling Parkinson’s disease for years without telling the public.

She was first diagnosed back in 2015, after doctors at first thought her symptoms were just stress or anxiety. It took years before she finally got the right answer.

She has decided to “come forward now” because she recently underwent a procedure “to help with the symptoms on one side of [her] body.”

During an interview with Today, alongside her husband, Terry, Rebecca said, “I’m seeing improvement. … I’m able to write my name, my dates, I’m able to write with my right hand for the first time in probably three years.”
