‘Ghostbusters’ star Jennifer Runyon dead at 65

Actress Jennifer Runyon, known for her roles in the classic film Ghostbusters and the TV sitcom Charles in Charge, has died at 65.

The beloved star Jennifer Runyon passed away on March 6 after a battle with cancer. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news in a message shared on social media.

According to reports, Runyon had been fighting the disease for around six months before her passing. She died peacefully while surrounded by her family.

In an emotional statement on Facebook, per ABC7 Los Angeles, her family shared the news of her passing.

“This past Friday night our beloved Jennifer passed away. It was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family. We are so grateful for the time we had with her and for the love and support she shared with so many people throughout her life. She will always be remembered for her love of life and the deep devotion she had to her family and friends.”
