The tow truck driver informed us that the request had come from the homeowners’ association earlier that morning. It became clear that someone had acted quickly—too quickly. One of our cars carried a sticker connected to specialized work, meaning that towing it without proper verification involved strict procedures and significant penalties. When Lindsey overheard that this mistake could result in costly consequences, the confident look on her face quickly disappeared.
