I opened my door gently and asked the courier who the order was for. He pointed to my address, but my neighbor insisted they were hers. My husband stepped in, kindly explaining the mix-up. The neighbor’s face softened, and she admitted she had been taking my flowers by mistake — thinking they were surprise deliveries from a friend.

She apologized sincerely, embarrassed and a little emotional. Turned out, she lived alone and believed someone was secretly cheering her up. Instead of being upset, I offered to give her one bouquet to brighten her day. We both ended up smiling — and I learned that sometimes misunderstandings are just lonely hearts crossing paths, not betrayal or bad intentions.
