Three-year-old boy dies in scorching hot car
Emergency responders were called after the child was discovered, but he could not be revived. AOL reported that forensic officials later determined the cause of death was heatstroke. An autopsy found no signs of physical violence, authorities said.
Examiners reported burns on the boy’s arms, forearms, and thighs. It was determined that all were caused by prolonged exposure to extreme heat inside the car.
Officials said the child was of a healthy weight and size prior to his death. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The boy’s father reportedly claimed on social media that Vicente had been forgotten while his mother was under the influence of alcohol, NewsX reported, per NY Post.
