
Suddenly, the room seemed to slow down as I watched her, a sense of dread washing over me. My father’s eyes widened, and for a split second, I saw something I had never seen in him before: fear. It was a fleeting moment, but it was enough for me to know that whatever he had put in that champagne, it was never meant for Madison.
My heart raced. I couldn’t let it happen. My mind whirled, calculating my next move. I had to act fast. I needed to ensure Madison was safe and figure out a way to unveil my father’s dark intentions.
I leaned in close, whispering urgently to her, “Madison, listen to me. I need you to pretend you’re feeling dizzy. Right now. Can you do that?”
