Schofield revealed that she had cancer that had spread to her brain in July 2024, remaining open with fans as she shared updates about her fight and treatments, including surgery in January to remove a nasal tumor.

On January 20, 2026, the model-come-actress posted that while the surgery had been successful, she was “not out of the woods yet” and was awaiting further MRI results to determine if more radiation or chemo was needed.

Schofield is survived only by her mother, having lost both her father and sister Amanda in the years prior to her death.
